SDS Awarded Multi-Year Contract to Provide Network Engineering Advisory and Assistance Services to the Air Force Global Strike Command Communications Directorate (A6)

 

SDS International (SDS) has been awarded a competitive, multiyear contract by the Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC), Barksdale AFB, LA.       SDS will provide the AFGSC with expertise and capabilities to ensure AFGSC communications requirements are met. AFGSC/A6 provides information technology services to 25,000 active-duty military and civilian members at 5 major installations in the United States. AFGSC/A6 directly supports strategic bomber and reconnaissance forces by establishing, maintaining, and monitoring Nuclear Command Control and Communications systems. These communication systems enable Presidential and the Secretary of Defense control of nuclear weapons and reconnaissance forces, and provide communications capability in austere operating conditions.

SDS will provide dedicated expertise in the analysis, assessment, and execution in support of AFGSC programs. This contract will additionally support the technical development and implementation of enhancements to AFGSC’s network communications infrastructure and capabilities in support of warfighter requirements, data center consolidation, and Unified Capabilities efforts. SDS will support the modernization, sustainment, implementation and fielding of AFGSC communication and information technology assets. SDS will assist with planning, controlling, analyzing, and documenting enterprise networks for the HQ AFGSC/A6 staff. SDS will also assist in supporting the development, testing, fielding, and sustainment of various enterprise networks and command and control systems; including the Enterprise Land Mobile Radio, Voice over Internet Protocol integration, Federal Data Center Consolidation Initiative, Installation Processing Node Pathfinder, AFGSC enterprise data storage solution, and various other telecommunications networks.
